At Good Citizen, we believe that life is about more than just being good to yourself, it's about being GOOD to others. The more we can help our fellow citizens out there, the better off we will all be. That's why we created our "Model Citizen" program. We want to focus on those that embody what it means to respect others and make a meaningful difference in the lives of everyone they touch. These handpicked individuals are passionate about life, movement, and building a better society. They inspire us to be better than "GOOD," they inspire us to be the best we can be! Carrie Meador Pagès
2016 WINNER OF THE PILATES ANYTIME NEXT INSTRUCTOR COMPETITION
Carrie is a classically trained ballet dancer and teacher who discovered the endless benefits of Pilates while rehabilitating an ankle injury. She was certified in Charleston, SC through the PilateSystem in 2000 and in 2002 opened In Balance Pilates Studio in Wilmington, NC. Carrie founded the In Balance Pilates Certification (formerly Coastal Carolina Pilates Certiifcation) in 2004 and specializes in teaching future instructors the traditional Pilates method in a simple, easy to understand format. Known for her enthusiasm and energy, Carrie looks forward to a long career teaching her personal clients in Wilmington as well as future instructors throughout North and South Carolina.
Carrie's love for Pilates, her enthusiastic teaching style, and her dedication to the tradition of Pilates are qualities that help her clients see results and keep them coming back for more.

Vanessa is a Los Angeles based Pilates instructor certified through Balanced Body and AFPA Mat Pilates. She also holds certifications in Cardio Barre, Pure Barre, ACE Personal Trainer, and is a professional dancer.
Vanessa is also a classically trained ballet dancer trained at the renowned Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet (CPYB) where she gained a strong foundation in the Balanchine technique. She has also performed with the Joffrey Ballet. Early on in her performing career, she learned the importance of cross-training and maintaining a high level of health and fitness. After CPYB, she moved on to the Pennsylvania Ballet and then landed in New York City dancing with Urban Ballet Theater. She has toured internationally, performed from NYC to LA, and even strutted her way through Las Vegas in Jubilee! The Showgirl Spectacular!

Alexandra España is a classically trained professional ballet dancer who began her training at the age of 3 with Toni Carrion of England's Royal Academy of Dance at Village Dance Arts in Claremont, California. Her professional career began at the age of 17 when she was performed as a principal dancer with Pacific American Ballet Theater. She was also a soloist in Swan Lake by California's Riverside Ballet and a principal dancer with Anaheim Ballet, where she performed in The Nutcracker.
Living and working in Los Angeles as a dance teacher, Alexandra expanded her career in the commercial dance world working as both a model and dancer. As a ballet teacher, she loves to share her passion for ballet and has performed outreaches in public schools with Riverside Ballet, while also working with students in Inglewood.
Beyond the stage, Alexandra is a certified Pilates Instructor who works at Studio 613 and Mimi's Body Art Pilates Studio in Los Angeles, CA. Her clients range from dancers to those suffering from injuries and illnesses such as ALS and MS. Alexandra is BASI certified with a Specialization in Dance, as well as Injuries and Pathologies. She also loves yoga and spending time with her family. Alexandra's favorite quote is by George Balanchine, "I don't want people who want to dance, I want people who have to dance."

Aly is a BASI certified Pilates instructor, GYROTONIC® trainer, professional dancer, and fitness model based in Los Angeles, CA. She is also the creator of Dynamic Dance Workout (offered exclusively at The Moving Joint in Mar Vista, CA). Originally from Sedona, Arizona, Aly left the red rocks to pursue her passions at Virginia School of the Arts before moving on to The State Street Ballet of Santa Barbara. There she danced as a principle dancer for a decade. Since moving to Los Angeles, Aly has appeared in countless fitness and music videos, and she continues to perform professionally today. She is also a dance teacher in Invertigo Dance Theatre’s “Dancing Through Parkinson’s” program. Her teaching style is energetic, athletic, and detail-oriented. Aly’s mission in life is to share her love, dedication, and knowledge of movement, while making her classes fun and inspiring. Aly views fitness like a balanced meal and strives to bring that balance into her classes by stressing the "whole" picture, reminding her students there's always another layer to unfold. Aly is excited to be a part of the Good Citizen team as both a Good Citizen model and ambassador.

Allynne Noelle is a professional ballet dancer, Pilates enthusiast, and Model Citizen for Good Citizen Luxe Pilates Loops. She has danced with Ballet Pacifica, Inland Pacific Ballet, Miami City Ballet, LA Ballet, and Sacramento Ballet. Allynne has danced principal roles in Balanchine's Agon, The Four Temperaments, Symphony in Three Movements, Western Symphony, Swan Lake, Rubies, Apollo, and the role of "Odette/Odile" in Swan Lake. She has also created original roles in works by Sonya Tayeh and Stacey Tookey (choreographers from So You Think You Can Dance), and San Francisco Ballet's Christopher Stowell. Allynne has also been featured in two international short dance films: Nigel Lithgow's Dizzy Feet Gala and the 2015 National Choreographers Initiative. Pilates has helped Allynne stay at the top of her game in the ballet and dance world. This fall, Allynne will be in her second season with The Suzanne Farrell Ballet. This SoCal native loves the all things beach and loves to give back! While a Principal dancer at Los Angeles Ballet, Allynne founded A Chance to Dance Community Day, a community outreach initiative offering free classes, lectures, and demonstrations. And when Allynne isn’t wearing a tiara and tutu, she loves to show off her Bahama Mama Good Citizen Pilates Loops during a hard core Pilates class!

Lea began studying Pilates in 2004 and soon after became a BASI certified Pilates instructor. She has expanded her knowledge by continuing her education through STOTT, Peak Pilates, Balanced Body, Power Yoga, and Thai massage. She began her teaching career in a physical therapy center teaching those transitioning from physical therapy into regular exercising. Lea then branched out to teach at Equinox and other Pilates studios, yoga studios, and private home sessions throughout Los Angeles, CA. Leah believes that Pilates is for every BODY, no matter what size, age, weight or gender! She is passionate about Pilates, and her passion and spirit shine through in her teaching. Lea is excited to share her passion about Pilates and life as a GC Model Citizen!

Jennifer Sherry’s passion for movement led her to become a PMA certified Pilates instructor, Ariel Instructor, HiiT instructor, classically trained ballet dancer, and Co-Creator of the awesome new and exciting app, “The Ballet Bod.”
Originally from Kansas, Jennifer trained at Pacific Northwest Ballet, Miami City Ballet, Washington Ballet, and Chautauqua Ballet, before graduating from North Carolina School of the Arts as a ballet major. Additionally, Jennifer earned a BS from Indiana University where she trained professionally as a ballet dancer on scholarship. Professionally, Jennifer has performed with Colorado Ballet, The State Street Ballet and performed principal roles with the City Ballet of Los Angeles, American Contemporary Ballet, and Pacific Ballet Dance Theatre.
With a dream "to create a global community that is fit, healthy, and happy," she envisions a world in which people are supportive and uplifting to one another. For Jennifer, the best fitness program is not merely about health and fitness, but one that revives society and revolutionizes culture. She is thrilled to be part of the Good Citizen Model Citizen team!

Debbie first discovered Pilates when she was working as a professional dancer in musical theatre in New York. She found that Pilates was instrumental in keeping her body healthy during the punishing schedule of rehearsals and performances. After moving to Los Angeles in 2002, she got her Pilates certification through Long Beach Dance Conditioning.
With over a decade of teaching experience under her belt, Debbie's teaching style focuses on detailed fundamentals of the Pilates technique, while offering a challenging, fun, and tailor-made experience. Whether the goal is a lean, sculpted, more flexible body, or minimizing lingering aches and injuries, Debbie's clients have gotten results that keep them coming back for more.
Debbie uses Pilates (and lots of it!) to keep her dance career on both stage and screen alive. Her clients benefit from the importance and need for Pilates in her own life, which continuously fuels her desire to give back to them everything that has been given to her. As a Good Citizen Model Citizen Debbie looks forward to sharing her expertise of Pilates!
