When did you fall in LOVE with Pilates?

๐Ÿค”Do you remember when you fell in love with Pilates?๐Ÿ˜ I do.
I was a student at the University of Texas at Austin studying as a dance major. Pilates was a part of our curriculum. My modern dance professor was also my Pilates instructor. I had Pilates class two or three times a week. I know, three times a week on a regular basis without fail. I was living the Pilates dream!๐Ÿค˜๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿงก๐Ÿ‘ฏโ€โ™€๏ธ
Everyone in the class was basically newish to Pilates, and we were deep-diving into the way the body moved. I mean, we were dance majors after all. We started very slowly. We learned proper breathing techniques, how the diaphragm moved, isolating the ribs, articulating through the spine, and stabilizing one part of the body while another part worked. We really got to know how our bodies worked with no equipment or props to distract. It was a true practice. I am truly grateful for this time on the mat with just me, my body, and the new ways I learned to move. All of these things I learned from my early Pilates practice helped improve my life in so many ways.
